This is the link to my GoFundMe page for my senior thesis on plastic pollution.
Me and a few other seniors (mostly female (woo! female filmmakers)) are filming a documentary that will educate people of all ages about single-use plastics, microplastics, and plastic pollution as a whole. We will and have interviewed local non-profit organizations and for-profits as well, to show what they are doing to spread the word about reducing, reusing, and recycling.
We hope to go to Puerto Rico to cover the effects of Hurricane Maria in relation to pollution, as well as the lack of recycling, which is overflowing the landfills there with plastic. We will also be interviewing a non-profit in Aguadilla, that works to clean up their costal community and educates the inhabitants about what they can do to keep the area clean and healthy.
My group and I would love to see this project succeed, not only for us, but for those who will get to see it and learn from it. We have one earth, and little time left to change our ways.
